The Spring Affair is an annual tradition at Oklahoma Baptist University. It is organized by the Campus Activities Board, otherwise known as CAB. As one of the largest and most anticipated events at Oklahoma Baptist University, the Spring Affair is sure to bring together students, faculty, and guests for a fun and exciting evening.
This year’s show, under the leadership of CAB president Jenna Tully and vice president Brady Taber, will provide the audience with memorable moments that no one will want to miss out on. Both Tully and Taber have worked very hard with their team to ensure every detail is carefully thought out and
planned. CAB is aiming to make this event a highlight of the academic year.
The Spring Affair is more than just a campus-wide showcase—it’s a celebration filled with talent and creativity. It is a vibrant and entertaining show. The event typically features a wide variety of skits and performances, ranging from comedic acts and musical renditions to dramatic storytelling and dance routines. Each performance is designed to resonate with their audience, making it a night that the audience eagerly anticipates and reminisces about long after it’s over.
This year, the theme of the show adds an exciting twist: it’s a tribute to beloved sitcoms and familiar, nostalgic shows. Whether it’s a wink to classic television or a playful homage to iconic characters and moments, the evening promises to evoke smiles and laughter. These are the kind of events OBU students will look back on fondly. CAB’s script-writing team, led by Abby Ettinger, has put everyhtign into crafting an engaging lineup. Ettinger shared her enthusiasm for the project.
“Spring Affair is going to be full of nostalgia and laugh-out-loud moments. It’s going to be full of surprises, and you will not want to miss it!” Ettinger and her team have carefully tailored the script in order to connect with OBU students, creating moments that they’ll find both relatable and entertaining.
The CAB team has shown remarkable dedication while creating this event. They have spent countless hours brainstorming themes and sketching ideas, as well as rehearsing performances and designing the set. With collaboration at its core, this group of students have ensured the Spring Affair is polished, professional, and full of fun and creativity. Tully and Taber have gone above and beyond as leaders, encouraging the team to bring their best ideas to the table and fostering a spirit of teamwork.
The Spring Affair is not just about the CAB members and performers; it’s about the audience too. The energy in the room, the laughter echoing through the auditorium, and the connections made among attendees are what truly make this event special. Students across the campus eagerly await the big night; in the past some have even dressed up to match the theme. The Spring Affair serves as a reminder of the vibrant community and spirit at OBU, and the shared experiences that bring everyone closer together.
As the curtain rises on this year’s Spring Affair, the audience can expect a night full of surprises and heartwarming throwbacks. The show’s nostalgic theme serves as an amusing nod to the past while celebrating the creativity of the present. Whether you’re a fan of sitcoms or simply looking for an evening of entertainment, this year’s Spring Affair is sure to leave an impression.
