Oklahoma Baptist’s Lacrosse team hosted Colorado Springs University for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

The Lady Bison had an exceptional start when senior Hannah Dowell scored the first goal of the game with only 25 seconds of the initial period.

OBU extended the advantage with freshman Breanna Wichert and senior Paige Morrison contributions.

The visitors reacted with a quick goal; however, Morrison and Wichert score a pair of  goals to give OBU a momentary 4-1.

While Morrison added a fourth goal, the Mountain Lions resisted by scoring a few goals close to the end of the first period.

However, junior Alexis Martin scored to give OBU a 7-5 lead at half time.

The Mountain Lions seemed convinced to hurt the Lady Bison, but  Wichert opened the second period with a goal followed by freshman Lauren McCormack who found the net to give OBU back a four-goal advantage.

The visitors reacted with a few more goals, but Dowell tallied two goals for OBU, meanwhile Wichert added a goal for the Lady Bison that possessed 13-8 advantage.

With a few minutes left in the clock, Dowell and McCormack both scored to give OBU a definitive 15-10 triumph over the Mountain Lions.

Morrison scored five goals, Dowell contributed four goals and Wichert finalized with three goals.

Goalkeeper Courtney Barnickle had six saves throughout the game.

The Lady Bison won their second game in a row and registered a 2-5 record in the RMAC and 4-7 in the season.
