The Bison welcomes unsolicited submissions of informed commentary on varying topics that may inspire or include the community on Bison Hill. Those interested may submit a letter of inquiry that explains the subject of the piece, the purpose of submission, and how the topic relates to the mission of the university or its various organizations to the Editor-in-Chief and should be no longer than 350 words.
We ask that guest opinion essays be limited to 500 words, a short biography that contains basic identifying information such as your name and affiliation to the university or the parent organization you represent. Anonymous materials will not be published.
In keeping with The Bison‘s dedication to the mission of the university, the editorial staff reserves the right to reject any submitted material for any reason at any time without feedback or explicit reasoning. Likewise, the editorial staff reserves the right to edit materials for clarity, brevity, usage, or legal considerations as they fall within the interests of the university community.
All submissions must be made by 5 p.m. on Friday to be considered for publication in the following week’s issue. If you have questions, please email us at bison.news@okbu.edu. Alternatively, you can fill in the form found below and we’ll get in touch with you as soon as we’re able.
