Here on Bison Hill, there are endless opportunities to step out of your comfort zone and get more involved in your community. One of those opportunities includes Greek life!
While it is easy to have certain assumptions about Greek life, the rushing process will look much different here at a smaller university compared to what it would look like at a larger university.
Here, the process is more personal, intimate, and ultimately more defining. Rushing is not just about choosing letters but choosing the people and traditions that will shape your college years here at OBU. It is important to have a community of like-minded people to grow with and that is what Greek Life can offer you!

Shawnee as a whole, Beta Gamma Theta is the social club for you! With fun activities such as cookouts, volleyball tournaments, bonfires, and more, you are certain to get involved, have fun, and make amazing memories with your future brothers.
If you are looking to grow in your faith, academics, and social life, Lamda Chi Lamda is the social club for you! With fun and exciting events such as a neon party, homecoming tailgate, member retreats, and much more, you are certain to have a blast while growing as an individual as well. If you are looking to grow in your faith with like-minded brothers, Omega Chi Delta is the social club for you! Through fun events and activities such as serving at the Salvation Army, playing basketball, game nights, and more, you will shine the light of the Lord on each other, those around you on campus, and on the town of Shawnee as a whole.
If you are looking for a community in which you can grow your faith with fellow sisters of Christ, Kappa Phi Beta is the social club for you! As a Kappa you will not only shine the light and love of the Lord on your fellow brothers and sisters here at OBU but on the town of Shawnee as well. When asked how being a part of Kappa Phi Beta has shaped who she is today, Chesney Long, a junior here at OBU and member of Kappa Phi Beta said, “I’ve noticed that I’ve made a lot of good friends and have gotten to know a lot of people on a deeper level, more than when I did before the Kappas. I’ve also noticed that I’m a better neighbor and sister.”
Long described the women of Kappa as “calm, confident, and different in their own ways.” Find your sister through Kappa Phi Beta. If you are looking for sisterhood where you and your sisters build each other and everyone around you up, Pi Sigma Phi is the social group for you! With fun and popular events such as the barn bash, prayer retreat, homecoming events, and much more, you will shine the light of the Lord on all those around you and on Shawnee.
“I have changed so much in the past two years, it has made me more confident. I’ve grown so much as a person and in my relationships with other people but also with myself,” said Abby Primrose, the president of Pi Sigma Phi. You too could be a member of a social club and then one day be the president!

Through many fun activities, you will not only share your passions with each other but together decide how to spread your word and the word of Christ to all those around you.
