OPED: 10 Cute and Creative Couple’s Halloween Costume Ideas

With Halloween quickly approaching, some still may have no idea what their costumes should be. For those who are looking forward to a cute night out with their significant other, a couple’s costume can be a hard decision. There are so many avenues to choose from. A couple could go for a cute costume, a scary costume, a cosplay-type costume, or even a funny ‘out of the box’ costume idea. With the help of Pinterest Google and Instagram, the possibilities are endless. After some tedious research, I’ve compiled a list of ten Halloween couple’s costume ideas that I believe are cute or creative and even some that I’d hope to do with my significant other

1. Colonel Sanders and a Chicken 

This couple is clearly hoping for some laughs at Halloween. I’ve seen a few fast food restaurant themed costumes before, but this one certainly is the most creative and definitely made me smile. 

2. Starbucks Frappe and Barista 

For a creative and certainly relevant costume, the Starbucks drink and barista duo is certainly the way to go. For those who are fans of crafty DIY costumes, this is a great way to show your creativity and seems pretty simple to put together as well. 

3. Zenon and ProtoZoa    

This costume definitely filled me with Disney Channel nostalgia. For kids growing up in the early 2000s like me, Zenon the Girl of the 21^st Century is a film series that we are very familiar with. I love this throwback idea. I mean, who wouldn’t want to be ProtoZoa’s ‘Supernova Girl.’  

4. Jim and Pam from The Office 

The Office is my favorite television show and so of course my Dundie for best couple’s costume goes to this recreation of Jim and Pam’s looks for the season two Halloween episode. I’m sure Jim and Pam would high-five over this cute recreation of their iconic look. 

5. Gomez and Morticia Addams from The Addams Family 

For an ‘all-together’ spooky look at Halloween, Gomez and Morticia the iconic couple from the Addams Family is certainly a go to. Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner killed at a Halloween party in 2019 as the creepy couple and you can too. 

6. Superman and Lois Lane  

You can never go wrong with a classic. Superman and Lois Lane is an iconic couples costume that’s sure to receive compliments at any event this Halloween. Superman shirts and glasses are pretty easy to come by as well.  

7. Vision and Scarlett Witch 

For Marvel fans, Vision and Scarlett Witch is a great choice. With the popularity of the Disney+ series WandaVision, this costume is sure to be a hit. It doesn’t hurt that the series aired its own Halloween episode and so the costumes are pretty easy to copy. 

8.  Mickey Mouse Club Mouseketeers 

Yes, this is the same Mickey Mouse Club that was once home to members none other than Justin Timberlake Britney Spears, and Cristina Aguilera to name a few, but these costumes are inspired by the ones worn by the original cast in the 1950s. For a nostalgic Disney fan such as myself, this is a cute and unique way to spend a Halloween together. Bonus points for this couple’s daughter dressing as Mickey Mouse. 

9.  Peter Pan and Wendy Darling 

Finally, we have Peter Pan and Wendy Darling. This couple’s costume is a must for me on this list as Peter Pan is my favorite Disney character, movie and fairytale story. This is another timeless costume that’s sure to bring out the child-like spirit in anyone during Halloween.
