OBU debate returns from national competition

“OBU Debate competed in its first International Public Debate Association Tournament at Arkansas Tech in Russellville, Ark., March 23-26,” Assistant Professor of Communication Studies and Director of Forensics and Debate Scot Loyd said. 

“Emerging from a field of 107 novice competitors, junior Meagan Hill and freshman Avry Wood [pictured below] finished in the top 30. The team [pictured above] was also awarded speaking and quarterfinalist awards in the Professional Division.”
