Valentines Day is a holiday focused on love, and for two OBU students, they spent their time dancing the night away and showing love in big way.
Junior nursing major Tanner Robertson, attended the 2017 Night to Shine, sponsored by the Tim Tebow and the Tim Tebow Foundation.
“[Night to Shine] is a prom night experience centered on God’s love for people with special needs,” Robertson said.
“My heart’s always been into this kind of stuff; to be able to help others out and bring joy to others lives,” Robertson said.
“I feel like that’s my opportunity to serve like Christ.”
Robertson and fellow Bison Jay Barlow both attended the event.
The parties were hosted all over the country, with over 300 host churches.
Eleven countries participated in their own Night to Shine experiences.
“I loved it,” said Robertson. “I had a great time. Danced a lot!”
The prom is open to people ages fourteen and older.
The Tim Tebow Foundation is already planning next year’s event on their website.
