“I think this tournament showed them that there is not much of a difference between them and some of the top seeds,” head coach Peter McCorkle said.

The women’s team took eight players to the regional, which included several different doubles pairs and No. 16 Olivia Charvart in singles competition.

The men’s team brought five players to the tournament having a big impact.

Charvat and Lucas Castelo Bronco led the pack for the team, both making it all the way to the round of 16 in singles.

Madeleine Boepple and Alex Bowers each progressed to the round of 32 for the Lady Bison.

The round of 16 continued with four total doubles pairs reaching that round of the bracket.

Two of the pairs included Castelo Branco/Babji Atturu and Matias Le Fort/Michael Vetter for the men, while the women included Charvat/Boepple and Kim Moosebacher/Caroline Abbe.

“Charvat was very close to upsetting the No. 7 seed, and Charvat and Boepple were points away from upsetting the No. 6 seed. All of these girls proved again that they are a very good team,” coach McCorkle said,

“We have to continue to work hard and try to repeat as Great American Conference conference champions,” McCorckle said.

They will return to action February 11th in a duel against Washburn University to start off the spring season.
